Many people heard about different stats types. For clouter/eduer stats not too hard find good recommendations but hybrid stats are not known well therefore i try describe them a bit. I think I know this type of stats well because I played it more than for 4 reincarnations.
Q1. What type of stats you call “hybrid”?
A1. Under hybrid stats I mean stats with 60 or more TACTICS, 80 or more CLOUT (84 if you like leviathans, 82 if you like ghasts), 82 or more EDUCATION and at least 45 MA. It meaning you must have at least 31 permanent points to be good hybrid. Please even don't try this kind of stats if you have less permanent points.
Q2. Why people played hybrid? Why they don't want used clouter/eduer/tacter stats?
A2. I think people want change something. I think too boring have one role in battles for a long time and this type of stats allow you play in one battle different roles: you can kill and POC good enough.
Q3. If these stats so effective why all people don't use them?
A3. Because they not too effective. I mean when hybrid guy reinforece his killers they can kill good but not too good as can kill pure tac/eduer with proper stats/units. Hybrid killers have some speed advantage and can have health advantage but tac/eduer usually have better weapon and more units. Hybrid POCers have some damage advantage compare with pure clouter POCers but they slower and have less health/armor. Another hybrid disadvantage: some units too non effective and you can't use them (imps, wights, quorgs) and you can't have super organic units because it required too many permanent points.
Q4. So sad. May be they have some good points?
A4. Yes, they have. Firstly it's funny. Most people who played as clouter like fast units too much. Eduer units too slow. Hybrid units usually have penultimate MK so they also fast. They can reach POC or critical enemies units fast enough and make his job in time. Hybrid stats have 9+ fat units in set so you will leveled fast enough (it's one of the clouter disadvantage). As I said before you can choose your role in every battle. Sometime in battles not enough POCers and you can rein your POCers or rein your killers when hunters/sitters needed. Also in some situations hybrid POCers better than pure clouter POCers: if no one clear POC from edu sitter clouter usually can't POC it but hybrid can because of he just kill this sitter with good guns. Sometime hybrid can POC or assist POC even with his killer units (of course not heavy defending POC. I POC not once with my 10.5khp/56arm Ghasts).
Q5. Well, I have enough permanent points and want try it. Can you recomend some units?
A5. Of course. Main units are: Ghasts, Behemoth, Leviathans (at least 84 clout required), Ballistas, Knells, Sappers, Phoenixes, War pigeons. Also you can use the next units: Chimeras, Mlorthas, Phantoms, Albatroses, Owls, Pelicans, Hawks, Haltyrs. Not effective for these stats units: Imps, Quorgs, Daevas, Arbalests, (IMHO of course). You can also look at my others units designs in Virtual Lab.
Q6. Any others advices?
A6. Forget about your eduer/clouther experience. Use your hp/speed/weapon combination. Hit-and-run tactic very good for hybrid because they have good base speed and good impact. Your sappers very good because with good speed they have heavy enough mines and good health. On victory maps use your hp/speed combination and help allies POCers (behemoths, chimeras, knells, haltyrs). You can find your phoenixes much more usable compare with edu stats because of good speed and armor. Near EG rein behemoths or ghasts and in most of cases enemy POCer fail POC where you will sit. Good luck :)
